USPAP & Continuing Education

Course Information

The Appraisal Foundation and the Georgia Real Estate Appraisers Board require real property appraisers to have 7 hours of USPAP instruction, taught by a Certified USPAP Instructor, every two years.

Evening 6:00 pm - 9:45 pm • Saturday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Appraiser Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible to become an appraiser in Georgia, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Be a resident of the State of Georgia;
  • Be a high school graduate or holder of a certification of equivalency;
  • Complete an approved 90-hour appraisal course; and
  • Obtain a criminal history report from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI)
