In partnership with
Community Association Management (CAM)
Looking for a new opportunity? Employment of community association managers is
projected to increase faster than the average for all occupations through the
year 2010. If you want to be involved in the management or operations of a
community association for fee, the
Georgia Real Estate Commission
requires you to either have a real estate license or a Community Association
Management (CAM) license.
If you have had a real estate license less than one year, the CAM course, with
the school exam, is approved as a 25-hour Post-license course or for 24 hours of
continuing education credit without the exam. Course content is excellent
information for anyone, especially community association volunteers, working
for their neighborhood association. You will learn:
- Extensive review of licensing requirements;
- Overview of principles of agency & brokerage;
- Detailed analysis of maintenance, budgeting, & rule enforcement;
- Comprehensive examination of accounting principles & application to
community associations;
- Explanations of trust accounting requirements; and
- Review of fair housing laws, telecommunications laws, federal income tax laws,
the GA Condominium Act, & the GA Property Owners’ Association Act.
Tuition
The CAM course tuition is $290 and includes instruction,
textbook and final exam.
Class Schedule
All CAM classes meet on weekdays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
All classes are held at: Sandy Springs Campus - 5784 Lake Forrest Dr.
Each course consists of 4 days of instruction with a fifth date for the final exam.
